Black Rock Shooter: Black Blade version

The fact that Goodsmile’s first Black Rock Shooter figure became highly popular among avid collectors and loyal fans is more or less a fact that hasn’t flown by anyone unnoticed. I myself was a bit stunned by the previous version of this figure below, or actually so stunned that I kept getting dreams of her every night eversince the first pictures of her leaked out. And now, GSC once again provokes our (my) nerves by announcing this Black Blade version of the very same figure that pledged my dreams for several weeks. I know this might sound geeky or/and perverted for some of you, but hey – I have needs, too! :’(

When it comes to Black Rock Shooter, I’ve always thought that the pose made the big part of the figure. That goes for this version too. Of course every other details are nicely done too, but the pose is just something extra and holds an unexplainable bonus value for my eyes. What I also admired when it comes to the previous version of this particular figure is her black jacket, but seeing this black blade-version opened up some new perspectives. I actually enjoy what I see with this version, and to be honest, I start to prefer her naked stomach more and more. And again, it may sound perverted but I really think that her jacket is better off hanging in her left hand this time.

As with this version’s main number, the black sword… it’s only correct to say that it really looks like a detail that further justifies her price tag on 6800 yen (74USD). Preorders can be placed at most internet figure retailers, and as for me – I’ll be expecting this Black Blade version of this girl in April, like others who’ve placed their preorder already. Expensive yeah, but it’s worth it. ;)
