Production issues and expansion of story structure, those seem to be reasons enough for the folks behind the production of the second movie sequel to Eden of the East to delay it until March next year. This sequel was originally planned as a 60 minutes film dated for 9th of January in 2010, but anyone grieving because of this bad piece of news can (should) at least look one level to the positive side; the runtime of Eden of The East the Movie II: Paradise Lost gets extended from 60 minutes 90. :O
This hits us hard in a negative way indeed, but the compensation is some 20 minutes of extended runtime… so I guess both the negative and positive aspects cancelled each other out. O_o
By the way, even though I know that you’re aware of this already, I just have to remind you of the first movie sequel -- Eden of The East the Movie I: The King of Eden -- which has yet to hit the cinemas in Japan. Some says that this film premiers in Japan this Saturday while others has been stating its delay to December 19. I don’t really know what to believe since I am a bit confused, but below’s a trailer for you who haven’t seen it yet.
Regarding the source and the premier date; No I don’t fully trust ANN on this one. And I can’t get proper info from the film’s official website either due to lack of skills in Japanese. But if you know the date by heart, feel free to drag me in the ear…
… or maybe I just should google the whole thing a bit more. I’ve been sucking at it lately. ^_^’
